ISLAMABAD: This is what Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsudam said during the meeting with Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan on Wednesday mentioned that Japanese companies were keen to invest in the Pakistan automotive sector.

The ambassador said that one of the major Japanese car manufacturers is expected to make huge investments in Pakistan in the near future to improve its production capacity of hybrid vehicles to meet the needs of the local market as well as to export to other countries. other countries.

He also praised the government’s efforts to effectively control polio in Pakistan, as only one polio case is reported this year.

Meanwhile, Khan praised Matsuda’s prodigious efforts to strengthen economic ties between the Pak and Japan during his three-year tenure in Pakistan.

Matsuda also said that there is huge potential to improve bilateral trade and investment between the two countries and export skilled human resources to Japan.

The Ambassador also stressed the importance of regional integration and connectivity with Central Asia, which would help unlock economic opportunities in the region through improved trade, investment and tourism.
