Xavi to be Barcelona boss, Howe ‘will be announced Newcastle boss’, Spurs outweigh Vitesse reaction, Chelsea transfer news

Thomas Tuchel says the return of Antonio Conte’s Prem is good for the League.

Now Conte is back at Spurs and Tuchel said: “This is good news for the Premier League.

“Antonio is one of the best managers in the world – you just have to look at his track record and his titles to see him.

“It’s going to make it super difficult to play against Tottenham, I’m absolutely sure of that.

“But I’m in a happy place here and I don’t care what other people and other clubs are doing.

“I really appreciate where I am. “

Conte became the fourth former Premier League-era Chelsea boss to move to Spurs, after Glenn Hoddle, Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho.

Tuchel laughed at the thought of someday becoming the fifth in this row, smiling, “I’m tired of sitting here, I have to say. I am happy where I am.

But the German at the head of the table was hit by another injury, losing Marcos Alonso for tomorrow’s clash with Burnley.

Tuchel, already without Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic, explained: “Marcos was injured at the very last minute against Malmö.

“He tried to go out to train today but the stress on his ankle was too, too painful, so he won’t be on the team.”
